And I am curious to see if I can pin myself down to some practice drawing and writing while I am there. (The draw of 500 channels, especially any sci-fi or horror stuff, is close to irresistable).

After reading up this one, and just recently watching an Anime movie- 'Black Magic, M-66'- I've decided that the eyes interest me. I try to draw Realistically when I draw anthros; but for Thunderwing and myself to do our own online comic, I shall have to develope a different style. 'Better Days' is pushing me in that direction. I need to Simplfy if I am going to be able to create several strips a week. Mind you, this is still at least a year away. (Sooner if I work harder).

And finally...

(this one deals partly with the Politics forum on DA, the art site I post to) I find it amusing how the Blinkered Bridage on the Pol Forum works so hard to ignore information that counters what they want to believe. To them, everything is the fault of that Evil US. I could wish it wasn't going to take the Fall of the US (thanks to the efforts of those they believe in), for them to see just how Bad things can get. I know I do worry too much. And those closest to me, continue to tell me these things will not happen.

I'll believe it when I do NOT see it happening. God Help Us All if I / We all DO see it happening. The bad times that will bring, will last years if not Decades.

...Yeah. My mood is still out of whack. But sometimes that seems the Only time I manage serious writing. Pity my poor Thunderwing*, if to become a Sci-Fi / Fantasy writer, I have to be a Grump all the time!

Senate Bill 1 (section 220) - who can tell me?

Apparently there is a bill out there designed to make it very difficult for grassroots organizations to keep the Public informed about legislation moving through Congress.

To quote the AFA: 'The U.S. Senate is poised to pass Senate Bill 1 (Section 220), which would effectively keep AFA and every other pro-family organization in America from providing you information on bills in Congress. Under Senate Bill 1 (Section 220), we would only be able to provide you information on a bill at a high cost and at great danger of being penalized by Congress.

To put it bluntly, members of Congress are tired of getting your e-mails and phone calls, and Senate Bill 1(Section 220) is designed to keep information from you that might inspire you to call or write your senator. '

I find this just as egregious as conyers' H.Res 288, from which I believe - even though it is supposed to be 'non-binding'- activist judges will be able to use to the specific wording to create (Bad) laws.

Here's my question, to anyone who cares to give a Reasonable answer, be you Right or Left:

Do the AFA and others groups have a case?

WILL this legislation affect groups like MoveOn?

IS this yet another attempt to stifle Freedom of Speech?

What it is I am not understanding.

Freedom with NO responsibility apparently is a GOOD thing. Rights should be Unlimited. NO Consequences. Anyone who believes in Consequences, must be a bigoted neanderthal.

There are people out there arguing that it should be ok to Kill- I'm sorry, put down, euthanize, not sure what PC term one would like to use- children up to 8 years of age... because by their argument, children younger than that are NOT aware yet, hence NOT HUMAN. In other words, not much more than the fetus that can be aborted.

THAT is the kind of 'decency' that is coming to the US, if things continue the way they are. Giving 'special' minorities Special rights over all others, is what is leading us to this state of affairs. What's going to be grimly amusing will be the clash between special homosexuals 'rights' and special muslim 'rights' that is coming in Europe. I can only hope to God that people in the US and Canada will be paying attention when 'asian youths' (read: muslims) start using gays to light the fires of their European Intifada.

Decency.

Decency is treating people as EQUALS, not setting one group or another over the rest on the basis of their faith or sexual orientation. One can and Should implement laws to prevent discrimination, YES, but when those laws begin to favor one over another, divisiness is sure to follow.

Second, be able to both pull and pool their resources together.

Third, be able to allocate their substantial finances (thanks to 'charitable' fronts world-wide, Iran, the Salafists, and organizations like CAIR) to those targets they really want to be hitting (although killing members of islamic sects they don't agree with surely had its' bonuses).

Fourth, will be buying tickets to Israel, Europe and Especially the United States.

So Yeah. Pelosi is right on target. Or will be a target, soon enough. 'Cause she's right: If our troops are pulled out through cut-and-run policies (not to mention cut-the-military-budget-kuncinich), the terrorists WILL head out.

And Head For US.

Oh and you know what?

Once conyers gets his H.Res. 288 rammed down- errr, passed, your freedom to speak out will be severaly curtailed- in favor of the jihadists.

House Resolution 288: would this resolution have Prevented a 'Piss Christ'?

Looks like HR 288 is going to be a study item for me for the time being.

Question to any and ALL who come across this blog (and who have a Real opinion and / or knowledge to back it up):

Would a House Resolution 'condemning bigotry and religious intolerance' have stopped the presentation of the 'art'work entitled 'Piss Christ'?

Is there any reason why a 'Piss Christ' can be permitted, but not a 'Piss koran'?

What is your sense of this, pro or con?

I also need a better understanding of House Resolutions. I understand some are non-binding. Is this the case for all, or is a Resolution the basis for later legislation? If that is the case, what specifically does the Resolution need to do in the way of a definition from which laws can be crafted?

My thanks for any help in understanding exactly what a Resolution is capable of affecting.

Just take a glance at two of the commentators currently harrasing Atlas Shrugs. They represent the Left at its finest.

If islam ever did conquer the world, I could hope that such people are the prime choice for the slave pits.

If the Left gets its way with the US, that might end up being the better way to go... I mean, which is worse, second-class citizenship for Christians in their own country, or dhimmi status in the World-Wide Caliphate?

Well you know, that is a Good thing.

Despite everything, I still believe there are quite a few Persians who just wish the mullahs and the madmen the mullahs get elected to the government, would just vanish from the face of the Earth. Most of them never knew the Shah of Iran but I suspect they'd much prefer the likes of him these days.

There it is, short and sweet. There are days I just can't bring myself to look at what is going on in the world- not so much because it depresses me, but because the call of the art and the writing is so much stronger. I think I prefer it that way: in the end, the ONLY people we can take care of is ourselves and our immediate loved ones. If I am not working towards those goals, things will fall down Fast, once the jihadist bastards really put the World's feet to the fire. When the Front Lines are formed up, those of us behind them must be ready to shore things up. Protecting your interests helps protect your countries' interests (unless you are a Leftist).

We figure to eBay items totalling several thousand dollars this winter.... all picked up for a pittance.

But ya have to find people who aren't internet savvy. Anyone who is, prices their stuff accordingly. Still, we get some good things from time to time *g*

Tremendous, TREMENDOUS, amount of work to do around the house still. Nearly 2000 comic books to sort out and sell, and that's just a Small project out of a score! And some of those are worth beauceau bucks also: They are Signed.
